Greaney emphasized, "The defendant had used the vehicle as a weapon... generating horror among those who thought it would be a joyful day."
But was it truly a terrorist attack? Greaney clarified that Doyle was not driven by ideology, and he was sober and drug-free at the time. Doyle claimed he acted in panic and fear, but the prosecution disputed this, stating, "He just lost his temper."
